Spreading the Love: A Valentine-Themed Community Celebration at Manoogian Manor

On Friday, February 6, 2026, Manoogian Manor was blessed with a joyful and meaningful afternoon that beautifully reflected the spirit of love, generosity, and community. With Valentine’s Day decorations displayed throughout the building and a shared theme of “spreading the love,” residents and staff gathered together for a pizza party that became far more than a meal—it became a celebration of connection and care.

The warm and festive atmosphere was made possible thanks to the Manoogian Manor staff, who thoughtfully decorated the community and embraced the Valentine’s theme. Their creativity and compassion helped create an environment where residents felt welcomed, celebrated, and truly at home.

“Serve one another humbly in love.”
— Galatians 5:13

A Gift of Time, Food, and Joy from Hungry Howie’s

We are deeply grateful to Hungry Howie’s for their generous donation of pizzas for the celebration, freshly prepared and delivered from their Redford location.

In addition to their traditional favorites, Hungry Howie’s also brought along their well-known heart-shaped pizzas, which were a perfect match for the Valentine’s theme and brought smiles and laughter to the tables.

We would like to extend special appreciation to Jennifer M. Jackson, Vice President of Public Relations for Hungry Howie’s, whose leadership and coordination were instrumental in making this entire event possible. Her involvement helped bring together the food donation, thoughtful details, and a surprise visit that made the day unforgettable.

Hungry Howie’s also brought their beloved mascot, Howie, who spent time greeting residents, posing for photos, and sharing laughs with residents and staff alike. For many of our residents, this visit stirred fond memories of family outings and community celebrations from years past.

“Be kind and compassionate to one another.”
— Ephesians 4:32

Flowers and Sweet Treats That Touched the Heart

The celebration was further enriched by beautiful flower bouquets donated by Flowers for Dreams. The fresh arrangements brightened common spaces and sparked conversations, admiration, and joy among residents.

Sweet treats followed thanks to delicious cookies and brownies donated by JP Makes and Bakes. Sharing dessert together encouraged fellowship and laughter, creating moments of togetherness that are so meaningful to our residents.

Preserving the Moments That Matter

We also wish to express our sincere thanks to David M. Glaeser Jr. of Media Dominance, who was onsite throughout the event providing video and photography services.

David and Media Dominance handle all digital marketing for Manoogian Manor, and his work helps ensure that moments like these can be shared with families, supporters, and the broader community. By capturing the laughter, smiles, and heartfelt interactions of the day, these memories can continue to bring joy long after the celebration ended.

A Reflection of Love in Action

At Manoogian Manor, gatherings like this reflect something deeper than food or decorations. They are reminders that love is shown through service, generosity, and presence. Through the kindness of community partners, the dedication of our staff, and the support of those who help share our story, an ordinary Friday was transformed into a meaningful expression of love and belonging.

We are truly grateful to everyone who helped make this Valentine-themed celebration possible and for the continued support that allows Manoogian Manor to be a place where compassion and community flourish.

Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.”
— 1 John 3:18

May we continue to be reminded that love is shown through service, kindness, and presence.

May God bless all who give of their time, talents, and hearts, and may every act of generosity bring comfort, joy, and hope to those it touches. Amen.
